ABOUT
ME
As an undergraduate at the University of Montana, I have an interest in the Pre-Medical sciences. Since
Pre-med is undeclared technically, I think I am going to get my degree in Economics because it overlaps enough with Pre-med sciences. I plan to join a few clubs at UM as well.
I was born in Whitefish, Montana, and have lived in Kalispell, Montana my whole life until I moved to Missoula. I am a DJ with Peakaudiomontana and hope to throw some awesome events here on campus or outside campus. I also make music in my free time which can be heard on the portfolio tab.
In highschool I was the President of Montana HOSA, a state officer for Montana DECA, Student Body Vice-President for student council, elected as Governor by others at Boys state, an Executive Mentor for Brave mentoring, a Highlanders track coach, and was part of the National honors society, Captain of the swim team, a track participant, a cross country participant, nominated and attended the Hugh O'Brien leadership seminar, earned the Today’s achievers tomorrow's leaders award, a 2 time YMCA caring award recipient, was nominated for the national youth leadership forum for medicine, and was a person who read to 2nd graders through the he-man book club. On top of this, I was a Full international Baccalaureate diploma candidate and a running start participant.
I plan to a lot with my time here at the University of Montana!

I AM FROM POEM
I am from guitar and drums
From Fender and Sabian
Oh how they fill my head
I am from the cracks in the filth
that is the unfinished basement
I am from the oak that stands tall that sits somber out my window
I'm from late night concerts and dances
with spontaneity
From Mark and Colleen
I'm from the forgetfulness of family
and chaotic energy that encapsulates my life
From always staying up late to live my best life
and from getting up early to beat the rest
I'm from stay-at-home Sundays and free thought
I'm from Whitefish, Montana but come from Peru and Germany
Lomosaltado, Empanadas are what I remember best
From the days where my father wakes me up with 50 different voices and drums.
To the screaming of Cheryl at 3 am singing in my room on school nights
On my walls are pictures of days gone by
People who have lived and laughed
I will cherish those moments
And never forget

ACADEMIC PLAN
In my life, I have always known what I wanted to do. I have known that I want to help people. I felt a calling toward the medical side of life. I am here at the University of Montana trying to go toward a Pre-med track. I know that this will require graduate school and residency. This means that my journey is only just getting started. I will try to prepare myself for what is in store for the future while I am here at the University of Montana and the DHC. I will try to take the values and lessons that I acquire from the DHC and implement them into my everyday life. With my ever-growing schedule, organization will be a key component of my life. During my 4 years here at the University of Montana, I have had a lot to do. This first year is riddled with a lot of science-related courses. I know that these will be good for me in the long run, however, I am still deciding if I want to stay Pre-med. I was a full IB student, so most of my general education requirements were taken care of. If I stay with Pre-Med, I will have to take a summer class this year. I am part of the GLI program as well so, at some point, I must do a capstone project by my senior year, and I also must make sure that my honors courses and GLI courses overlap. I have not filled out future summer classes because I feel as if I can’t make those choices now. I also am debating on going to study abroad in my junior year. That means that this whole plan could change very easily depending on what I do. I think that I am going to go towards a degree in economics or business management since Pre-med is technically undeclared. Therefore, I am taking some economics classes throughout my next 3 years here. I will be taking a lot of higher science classes. This is to prepare me for the MCAT in the future. I am not looking forward to some of them like advanced biochemistry or organic chemistry, but it must be done. As far as clubs, I plan to join some medical-based clubs in the future. Things such as Griz med and Griz health intrigue me and I should be a part of them. I am part of HSA and plan to join clubs like switchback records, the advocates, and maybe even intramural sports. I think that I am going to work part-time here on campus and get a certification in business management as well. I might also be part of Blackstone. There is so much that I want to do here with so little time it feels like. Getting started is by far the hardest part. I hope to figure out my path in life here soon. But until I have a clear answer, I will be continuing on the pre-med track.
